Abstract

Large Hadron Collider or LHC refers to the large collider experiment that is located in the CERN laboratory at the border of France and Switzerland. Protons are accelerated to unprecedentedly high energies and are made to collide at this collider. Detectors study particles produced in these collisions. It takes more than just money and high level physicists to make such a huge project to work. In this talk, I will review the different aspects of this experiment that normally skip the attention of high energy physicists. I will put emphasis on the management and engineering work that has gone into this multinational undertaking.
